A few pics...

Now that I blogged yesterday, I feel back in the swing of things. Here are some pictures of events I mentioned...

Luke's 2nd Birthday Party

Celebrating Luke's birthday as a family...

Luke's dedication at our new church, Redemption in Laguna Beach. We've been going there for the last six months and love our new community of friends and fellowship. In the picture below, Andrew is reading Luke's "Life Verse"

Trust in the Lord with All your heart, lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.
- Proverbs 3:5-6

Pregnant!

We found out at the beginning of August that I am pregnant again! I am 23 weeks along. Feeling fantastic this time around. I am so thankful--each day-- for this growing miracle. I felt different physically, this time. Everyone assumed since my cravings were different and nausea etc was different that it must be a girl, but no, it's a BOY.

Going through and organizing all Luke's old clothes made me even more excited to have another mama’s boy, and made it seem so real that he will be here soon!! I feel him kicking and punching me all the time--he moves so much more than Luke did! I love it! Each of his ultrasounds were amazing as well, he looks so perfect and beautiful. It is crazy to me that in a few months, he will actually be here!!

The pregnancy is starting to fly by, and I am growing by the day. I am in the easy stage right now (between the nausea and the HUGE debilitating belly). We have so much to do to prepare for this little one. Many of the preparations are for Luke. We are working out the room situation, turning the office into Luke's room; transitioning him into a big-boy bed, and getting rid of his binky (which he only uses when he sleeps). I want these transitions to take place well before the baby gets here (which means it needs to happen FAST). If we can’t pull it together, then most likely, Luke will stay in his room.

I was HOPING to work on potty training before the baby gets here, but that may be cutting it too close. We'll see. We've been talking about the big boy potty, but he doesn’t have much interest in using it. He shows a couple of the “signs”, but he’s not quite there yet…and I’m not quite there yet. Honestly, I love being able to go on long walks to the park, where there are no bathrooms anywhere around, and not worry. So, I think we will both need to grow into that one. J

Luke is two!

Luke's birthday was a very special day. We had a party for him at Grandma and Grandpa's house, and on his actual birthday, we spent the afternoon as a family of three on Main Street. We are so proud of our little man. He is a special little boy. He is so sweet, in nature, and has a fun, infectious personality. While he has his share of tantrums, he genuinely is so well-behaved. He is strong-willed, and while I know that will be challenging as far as parenting is concerned, I want a strong boy. I want him to have his opinions and the ability to recognize his feelings as an individual. His vocabulary is expanding, and it is so weird to see him saying so many different words. Words that we say but don't realize. He is a sponge these days. His favorite things are trains, animals, and cars. He talks about them all the time. He also can count all the way to twenty!!! I couldn't believe it the first time he did it. He doesn’t do it on command, it’s usually while he is bouncing a ball or pointing to objects. I’ll try to post a video.

Believe it or not, I had more updates, but decided to delete them and save them for another post. I am getting a little long-winded here. haha. Next, I will try to catch up on some fun fall and winter festivities! That is, if anyone still reads this thing anymore:) Until then...

The last few weeks...

We have been busy having fun!  The Mercados were in town for a few weeks...and we had fun hanging out with them!!  We got to meet the newest addition to the fam, "C", and see how big our nieces have gotten over the last year!  Luke had fun playing with his cousins, and it was great seeing all of them together!!  We miss them!

I have been AWFUL at taking pictures, so I don't have many to post at the moment.  I am going to have to send out some emails so I can mooch off of the people we've been spending time with.  When were hanging out with the Barron side of the family, I rarely take pictures since one of them ALWAYS has a camera out haha.   I'll get back in the swing of things and take my own pictures though. I actually have some that I took at the park yesterday, I'll post those later...Just wanted to pop in and say hello.  Naptime is almost over...

Another fun weekend!

We went out to Vegas to the Clauss house!  It was fun watching Joey play tee ball!  He was really good (And I don't think I am being biased because I'm his Aunt)-- I loved watching him!
We had fun hanging out.  Luke liked watching his favorite show on the "big screen"
After all the kids went to sleep, we got a sitter and went out on the town!  It was really fun!!
Sunday we had fun playing in the sun and left late at night...
It was a great fun-filled weekend!

And I am officially exhausted...two weekends in a row of traveling! I can't complain about that though :)  I loooooove to travel.

Until next time.
